Each Morning the English Lutheran La Crosse, WI team joined WMO School Chapel. After chapel the team spent time mentoring and playing! There might have even been some arm wrestling challenges that went down!
All of our WMO Students attend chapel every morning before school! This is a way for them to be fed spiritual, physically & mentally. All of our chapel sessions are planned by our student! We have some very incredible and talented students that are dedicated to school, their education and Christ.
There were endless bubbles and hugs to go around! The kids really love to play and connect with every team that comes down. This hands on education and experience is what helps our students have a unique, well rounded, cultured and diverse type of learning.
Next, the team traveled to one of WMOs 80 feeding program locations to serve.
Niki, welcomed the children and introduced the mission team!
Be careful what you water your dreams with. Water them with worry and fear and you will produce weeds that choke the life from your dream. Water them with optimism and solutions and you will cultivate success. Always be on the lookout for ways to turn a problem into an opportunity for success. Always be on the lookout for ways to nurture your dream. -Lao Tzu
That is exactly what this mission team did! Each team member found their own way to connect and water these children with empowerment of optimism and opportunity.
Our team played "Simon Says" and shared their love for Christ.
Simon Says Cover your mouth!!
Simon Say's cheese for the camera!
All the kids loved the beach balls! They were a huge hit... pun intended!

After our mini service with the kids. It was time to eat! These are the amazing woman who volunteer to prepare the kids meals everyday!
The Food is prepared in a big pot held up by cement blocks over an open wood burning fire. Talk about HOT! That is dedication.
The Team helped serve the meals to every child!
In Nicaragua it is already hot, but adding in an open fire over hot pots of food is a whole other level of heat! The team served with smiles and truly embodied the hands and feet of Christ.
The line to receive food wrapped around the building!
The kids arrived with smiles on their faces as they waited for their meals!
Each kid received a toy and hygiene kit!
After a long hot day of serving, the team concluded with a devotional to recap their experiences.
Thank you all for your servants heart and dedication to helping create a better future for the children of Nicaragua.
